Each year Baltimore County Public Library branches offers thousands of free events for kids, teens, adults, and families. We've highlighted a few special events below but you can also search our online events calendar to customize your search or you can use the links above to visit our branches and see lists of activities for your favorite Baltimore County Public Library location.

Baltimore County Public Library Connecting Our Community Veterans Drive

Monday, June 19 through Monday, July 3

Drop off one or more of these items* at any Baltimore County Public Library branch and help Veterans and their families at the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center.

*Accepting only new, unused items

  • Triple-edge disposable razors
  • Shaving cream
  • Aftershave (alcohol free in plastic containers only)
  • Deodorant
  • Non-alcoholic mouthwash
  • Shampoo
  • Toothbrush with cover
  • Sensitive toothpaste
  • Body wash (no bar soap)
  • Hand or Body lotion
  • Diabetic socks
  • Slippers with rubber traction
  • Assorted art supplies (acrylic paint/brushes, watercolor palettes, drawing paper, markers, drawing pencils, craft or model kits, etc.)

Guidelines for Baltimore County Public Library Events


  • All Baltimore County Public Library sponsored events are free.
  • Some Baltimore County Public Library events (such as Baby Story Times and hands-on technology) require registration due to limited space. These programs are noted with "registration required."  You can register for many of our programs online one week prior to the event via our online events calendar but you can always register for any event which requires it by visiting or calling the hosting branch one week prior.
  • Please arrive promptly. Many events fill up quickly and you want to be sure to get a good seat and to be settled and ready when the event begins.
  • Appropriate accommodations for individuals with disabilities will be provided upon request.  Notice of eight business days prior to the event is requested. 
  • There are many public events which are held in Baltimore County Public Library meeting rooms and which are not sponsored by the library but which are hosted by other organizations.
